BRIEF DESCRIPTION

Airport transfers are mostly done in Lincoln Town Car sedans. Most people leave in the morning to catch their flight and most return after 5PM. Only Limousine services with corporate accounts do a lot of Airport Transfers. Airport transfers can be quick and some can take a very long time. Here in the Boston area, traffic heading into Logan Airport can take sometimes double the time it would if there was no traffic.

PROS AND CONS

Some drivers only like to do Airport runs and others refuse to do them. You will need to decide which side you are on. Airports runs are like Corporate runs. They are nice because you are not dealing with the drunk clients. The cars never get destroyed and always stay clean. Most Airport transfers are done during the day shift mostly and many chauffeurs like that because they can get done working at a decent hour. The con is that there is no excitement in the run, it can be very boring and it does not usually pay as well as the night outs do or the weddings.

PAY STRUCTURE

Airport transfers pay a FLAT RATE to the driver. All limousine companies do have their own method of paying their drivers so you should ask your employer about your pay for Airports. It definitely does not pay as much as a night out does however, clients often do throw you an extra $20.00

AIRPORT DROP OFFS

When dropping off a client at the airport I follow just a few rules:

1. Arrive your pick up 15 minutes early with a newspaper and bottled water.
2. Knock on the door softly and introduce yourself.
3. Load the luggage for your client.
4. Confirm what airport they are departing from, what airline and the ETD (Estimated Time of Departure)
5. Let them know approximately what time you will be arriving the airport.
6. Speak only when spoken to.
7. Drop them off curbside at their departing airlines terminal.
8. Load their luggage onto the curb and offer to get them a bellboy.
9. Confirm with them where they should meet their limo driver upon return. (If you are not sure, you should ask the office the night before. It is very unprofessional to drop your clients off and not be able to tell them where to meet their driver upon return)
10. Hand them a business card, shake their hand goodbye and tell them to call the office if there is any flight changes so we can track their flight for them on their return.
