Corporate work is not exciting but it is easy, consistent and allows you to get done working at a decent hour.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION
Corporate transfers are mostly airports runs done in Lincoln Town Car sedans. A small percentage of corporate work will take clients to business appointments in various cities but most corporate work will be picking up clients at the airport and taking them to corporate accounts. After the business meeting is over the chauffeur will usually take the client straight back to the airport or a major hotel if the client is staying another day or maybe even several days. Corporate transfers are mostly done during the day. Maybe 20% are scattered at night time.

PROS AND CONS
Corporate transfers are nice because you are not dealing with the drunk clients. The cars never get destroyed and always stay clean. The corporate transfers are done during the day shift mostly so many chauffeurs like that because they can get done working at a decent hour. The con is that there is no excitement in the run, it can be very boring, it does not usually pay as well as the night outs do or the weddings and the corporate clients can be very conservative and pains in the ###. Hey, I got to be honest with you.

CLEANLINESS
You will definitely want to be on your best behavior when doing corporate work. Your jobs will be mostly daytime and the sun will be shining so make sure your vehicle is in flawless, pristine condition. You exterior should be spotless. Your floor should be spotless. Any crumbs on your floor and your client "will" complain. Corporate client are very picky. They pay a lot of money for their limousine service and they expect professional service.

Not only should your car be clean but you should be too. You’re not chauffeuring drunk guys in a Bachelor Party. You’re a chauffeuring CEO's and Vice Presidents. Be professional. Be clean. Ironed Suit. Clean shaven. Smell good. Brush your teeth and make sure your appearance is sharp.

Showing up late is the number one reason corporate accounts will terminate their limousine service and will switch to another one.

BE ON TIME
Do not be late on a corporate run. Large corporations are run very professional and they manage their time very well. Your clients need to be ON TIME. If you’re a late and you do not have a damn good reason, don't be surprise if you are fired immediately. Limousine services will lose the whole entire account if the corporate account cannot count on the Limo showing up ON TIME with NO EXCUSES.

GREETING YOUR CLIENT
Always greet your clients with a professional hand shake. No matter what kind of run you are doing.

Make an initial conversation outside the car, but after that the rule is simple. Never speak to your clients unless spoken to.

CONVERSATION
When you first meet your client, feel free to make some small talk. Notice, I said "small talk". As in, "How are you today?" or "How was your flight?" Never ask corporate people personal questions. The real rule of chauffeuring is NEVER SPEAK UNLESS SPOKEN TO. Sometimes it’s OK to break the rule, but I have to be honest, you’re not chauffeuring drunk clowns in Corporate work. You are chauffeuring men and woman, with college education, very successful in life, entrepreneurs from all over America and they are in limousines all the time. These people do not want to hear nor do they care about you and your bull####. Trust me. I know. I am successful for a reason. I study this industry, learn from it, improve it all the time and teach it. Save the dram for your baby's mama. A wise man told me that. Again, NEVER SPEAK UNLESS YOUR SPOKEN TO.

KEEP YOUR RADIO OFF
One time a chauffeur I know made CD's of jazz music. He told me that he plays them while chauffeuring his corporate clients. You obviously want a piece of advice, because your reading this. Keep your radio off. Throw your Jazz CD in the trash. You are not living on Bourbon Street, in Louisiana. Your corporate clients will be on their cell, reading, relaxing or sleeping in the back seat because they have been up since 4AM. Keep your radio off. Not on low. Off. When they are out of the car, put your MC Hammer on.

Don't go look for a nice place to chill on your downtime. You should be parked right up front, as close as you can to the main door, in case you client gets out early.

DOWNTIME
You will have a lot of down time when transferring corporate clients. When your clients go inside their business meeting stay and they tell you they will be out in one hour, do not take off and go gallivanting all over the city. Stay right at the main doors of where you dropped them off, curbside, if you are allowed. Often, your clients will come out early. I have seen a lot of unprofessional driver in my years. The biggest goof balls would always leave and go to the mall. Go out to eat. Go visit friends. Today, they are still goof balls going nowhere in life. Chauffeuring is an art. It is a service. You are being hired to serve your client, not yourself. Bring a book. Play with your cell phone. Relax. You’re on the clock. If your client is in a meeting, you should be curbside waiting for them.
